On April 19, third, fourth and fifth grade students from Pines Elementary had the unforgettable honor of performing the national anthem at Citi Field before the New York Mets faced off against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The performance took place during the annual Pines’ Family Day, a cherished tradition that brings together students, families and staff in celebration of community spirit.
Under the direction of music teacher Mrs. Wray-Dolgin, the students rehearsed diligently in the weeks leading up to the big day. Their hard work paid off as their voices proudly echoed through the iconic stadium. Families from Pines Elementary were there to cheer them on, creating a heartwarming moment that beautifully captured the close-knit spirit of the school community.
