Hauppauge Strong Team Raises over $16K for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Several Hauppauge High School students participated in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, raising a grand total of $16,395.67! Over seven weeks, the Hauppauge Strong Team organized fundraising events and reached out through emails, texts, calls and letters. Kudos to team captains Chloe Coughlin and Sophia Brown, along with team members Brayden Brown, JD Carty, Luke Starace, Sophie Green, Abigail Desantis, Emma Furuno, Ava Lingen, Jacob Wolmetz, and Shea LaGiglia for their outstanding work!

Chloe's sister and her friend founded the Hauppauge Strong Team four years ago when she was a freshman at Hauppauge High School. Chloe was determined to take over the campaign when she began high school, as the mission is personal to her family. The team worked tirelessly to raise funds and promote the mission of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. “We are really proud of our team and how much money we raised and are looking forward to participating next year with some new ideas in mind for fundraising events,” said Chloe. Way to go, Hauppauge Strong!
