Business electives at Hauppauge High School offer a wide variety of opportunities for students to develop skills, become technologically and financially literate, and help prepare for the future. College credit is available through several courses that are offered. There are over 80,000 businesses on Long Island, many of which are located here in Hauppauge with many opportunities for young people who can think critically, work with others, solve problems, and keep up with the pace of our rapidly changing technological society. College courses in Accounting, Marketing, and Intro. to Business, in addition to HL and SL IB Business Management,  are available for students. AP Computer Science Principles is another option for students interested in coding and computer science. A sequence in any of these areas will provide a broad base of skills that will help prepare students for college and a wide variety of careers.
