Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at Pines Elementary School! 

As we plan for a new and meaningful school year, we want you to know that our focus is always on safety, and to ensure that each of our students feel connected to the Pines ES community.

We hope that you were able to relax and find ways to recharge throughout your summer. Our custodial staff, the Pines clerical staff, and your teachers, have been busy getting our school ready for your return. For the past twelve years, I have been the proud principal of Pines ES. It continues to be my honor and pleasure to serve the Pines ES community, as Hauppauge is a very caring and supportive community. 

The many roles I have served in as an educator, which began with my career as a teacher in NYC Public Schools, and then subsequently, in Oyster Bay-East Norwich Schools, have helped to inform and guide my work as an administrator. I always try to remember the challenges that are faced inside and outside of our classrooms, by students and staff alike, and make decisions that are based on a student-centered approach to leadership. I can assuredly attest that our entire staff works very collaboratively to find creative solutions to meeting the needs of each and every one of our students. We care, we share, and we love Pines!!

I wholeheartedly recommend that you become involved in our school community. I also encourage you to become active members of our Pines PTA! Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or any ideas that you would like to discuss. We would love to hear from you!
