IB Program Overview
IB courses provide students an opportunity to engage in inquiry based learning - broad, balanced, conceptual and connected curriculum
IB courses are open to 11th and 12th grade students- students do not need to be enrolled in accelerated classes before becoming an IB candidate
IB philosophy emphasizes balance and choice - fosters independence with support.
Portfolio model of assessment - students can show what they know.
The courses are built on a foundation of research and problem solving skills.
Students enhance their self-awareness and are given opportunities for reflection throughout each course of study.
Students can take individual IB courses, or for the full diploma program, 6 courses (3 HL and 3 SL plus TOK, CAS and EE)
